7 Ways To Cleanse and Detoxify The Blood
From master teachers who walked the earth thousands of years ago such as Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna, to modern day health experts and medical professionals, including Dr Zelenko, one of the most important messages that has been reiterated again and again when it comes to supporting the body in the healing of illness and the protection against infection can be found in these eleven words,
‘Purify the blood and the body will take care of itself.’
Sounds pretty simple right?
For most of us, it isn’t.
Amidst the carb and sugar addictions, to the onslaught of environmental toxins, and the various pathogens we are being bombarded with from every direction—all of which are wreaking havoc on our organs of filtration and elimination including the bowels, kidneys and liver—it is no wonder an astronomical number of us struggle to heal from acute and chronic disease.
When there is a high degree of inflammation levels throughout the tissues and joints, blood sugar levels that are out of whack, chronic fatigue and insomnia and an onslaught of digestive disturbances, you can bet the body is waving a flag at us asking us to pay attention and start making changes.
Immediately.
And it is imperative that we put our focus on detoxifying the blood if we are to assist the body in its healing and maintenance processes. As we cleanse the toxic buildup from the blood, our circulation, blood and lymph flow increases, and oxygen, antioxidants and nutrients are able to make their way to the areas of the body which are in need of healing and repair.
In addition to staying well hydrated through an adequate intake of water throughout the day, here are 7 WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT THE BODY in cleansing and detoxing the blood a little at a time:
Castor Oil Packs:
Castor oil is a time old remedy consisting of an essential fatty acid called ricinoleic acid, which may assist the body in dissolving obstructions including fibroids, cysts and tumors. It also may help to clear congestion, toxic buildup and inflammation in the cells, tissues and elimination pathways, such as in the stomach and intestinal areas. Packs are placed directly on specific areas of the body and can be made at home using a few simple items including castor oil, a fleece or cotton cloth, and a hot water bottle or heat source to aid in oil absorption. See various online sources for exact items and method. Organic and/or pesticide free oils are highly recommended.
Dry Brushing: An excellent method which may help the body clear toxins through the use of long and gentle strokes using an all-natural bristle brush. Dry brushing takes place directly on the skin without the use of water, a technique which helps to open up pours, stimulate lymphatic drainage, increase blood flow and overall help the body detoxify. Depending on the degree of skin sensitivity, options range from softer bristles made from coconut, to firmer bristles made from vegetables. The most important factor is to ensure that bristles are all-natural, organic and vegan, and if made from animal material, 100% cruelty free. Avoid synthetic brushes which may be harsh on skin.
Exercise and Stretching: An absolute must when it comes to supporting the body in detoxifying and healing, gentle exercises such as brisk walking help to stimulate circulation and healthy blood flow. This moves oxygen into the blood and “gets things moving” throughout every passageway and organ in the body. Additionally, light stretching of the legs, back, arms and neck help open both the passageways of the physical body, as well as those of the energy body, aiding in energy flow. Healing goes where energy flows!
Self-Massage: Massage helps to stimulate the lymph system and increase blood flow which supports the organs of elimination in removing toxins from the blood. Key areas may include the feet (starting with an Epsom salt foot soak is a great addition), legs and abdomen. Additionally, due to reflexology points also in the hands, a massage of fingers, palms and wrists is an excellent way to stimulate the organs. High absorption oils which make excellent options for massage include: grapeseed, apricot, avocado, almond and castor oil. In all cases, use all-natural oils and where possible, organic and/or pesticide free oils.
Enemas: Warm water enemas are an excellent way to help cleanse debris and toxic buildup from the colon area. This involves moving water into the bowel through placing a tube at the entrance of the rectum. After a few minutes, the water is then released from the bowels along with the toxic buildup that comes with it. Coffee enemas take it one step further to help stimulate the liver to encourage the release of toxins. Enema kits for at-home use are available for purchase online, and ideally include a stainless steel enema bucket to hold water. Enemas, also known as colonics, may also take place through a professional service.
Herbal Teas: Various studies have demonstrated that Milk Thistle tea is an effective way to protect the liver, help the liver to heal, and assist the liver in detoxification. This is in large part due to a flavonoid called silymarin which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, it helps to aid in the healing of the stomach and digestive tract. Additional teas which help the body in detoxification include dandelion tea, ginger root tea, freshly squeezed lemon tea, green tea, and nettle leaf tea. Please Note: Some teas may also have a diuretic effect, such as nettle leaf tea.
Supplements: N-Acetylcysteine, otherwise known as NAC, is a powerful antioxidant widely known for its effectiveness in assisting the kidneys, liver and organs of elimination. Specifically it helps promote detoxification and acts as a scavenger of free radicals, helping the body detox from heavy metals and environmental pathogens. Likewise, epigallocatechin gallate, more commonly known as EGCG, is a unique antioxidant plant compound—the major catechin found in green tea—which also acts as a scavenger of free radicals. Both NAC and EGCG may be purchased as individual supplements, or in an all-in-one balanced formula created by Dr Zelenko—specifically, Z-DTox™ and Z-Shield™.
What’s the difference between Z-Dtox™ and Z-Shield™?
Both contain zinc, vitamin D, EGCG and NAC (and also vitamin C in Z-Dtox™) to support the body in cleansing and healing. But Z-Shield™ also contains the added benefits of St. John’s wort, lemon balm and turmeric, offering exceptional support for both the body and mind.
